The Great Migration ...

... a K-16 collaborative teaching project ...

... Kenyon College, Cleveland State University, Oberlin College,
The Cleveland Municipal School District, & The Avery Institute

The Great Migration Project has as one of its goals the creation and dissemination of curricular materials, either in the form of single lesson plans or more long-term curricular interventions.

Participants' experiences as teachers, and even the classes they teach, widely vary. As a result, the materials themselves are very different. For sake of organization, we have divided the lesson materials by grade level, -- elementary, middle-school, and high school.

The elementary school curricular packages very from "Gullah by the Numbers" to "African Architectural Influences."

See, for instance, lesson plans and curricular packages on the following topics, which will be expanded in number during the coming weeks and months. Please note that these are all in Adobe PDF format.
